Frequently Asked Questions
What areas do you cover?
We are not limited to any one area. We are not a franchise. We have caregivers
all over the State of New Jersey. Because our office is located in Union, New
Jersey our greatest concentration is in the Union County and Suburban Essex
County area. However, we have clients in the surrounding counties and have had
client as far away as Cherry Hill, New Jersey, which is seventy-five miles
away.
What is the cost?
We charge $19.00 per hour. We have a four-hour minimum. Clients use our service
for as little as one day a week. We also offer Live-in 24/7 care. For someone
to live in your home we charge $190.00 per day to care for one person. If there
is more than one person that requires care, there may be an additional charge.
Please call so we can discuss the details.
Does your agreement obligate us to a period of time?
Our agreement does not obligate anyone to any period of time. You are free to
cancel our service at any time with just a phone call. As a courtesy to the
caregiver we ask that if possible, please try to give a few days notice so we
can re-locate your caregiver.
Do we have the same caregiver all the time?
Most of caregivers want to work a set schedule with a client every week and we
try to accommodate that request. We find that familiarity with the same person
causes less confusion. When we do seven-day live-ins, we sometimes supply two
caregivers to assist you. This way you avoid paying for overtime and the
caregivers can usually cover for one another on the rare occasion when one is
out.
Do we get to meet the caregiver?
Absolutely. Mr. Blecker or one of the senior staff will bring the caregiver to
meet with the client and any members of the family. We guarantee our caregiver
to you. If at any time you are unhappy with a caregiver we will replace the
caregiver. Naturally, you always have the option of terminating our service. We
really have excellent caregivers. They go through a thorough criminal
background check. We check their previous employers. We check their personal
and professional references. We only hire about 1 out of every 25 caregivers
that we interview. As a result we have never had a case of abuse or theft.
We have on occasion replaced a caregiver because of personality conflicts.
Today 60% of marriages do not work out. Taking total strangers and putting them
together can sometimes be challenging. We get the nicest complements from our
clients. Everyone seems to love our caregivers.
